Job Location: Alpharetta GA/ Bay Area, CA(Hybrid) 

Contract: 6+ Months

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Report Server Administrator to oversee and manage enterprise reporting platforms including Power BI, Tableau, and SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in report server configuration, user and license management, performance tuning, and platform security.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Administer and maintain Power BI Service, Tableau Server, and BOBJ Server environments.

·       Manage user access, roles, licenses, and group permissions across reporting platforms.

·       Monitor server health and performance; conduct routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.

·       Manage data source connections, gateways, and report schedules.

·       Troubleshoot server issues, handle escalations, and coordinate with vendor support if needed.

·       Maintain platform security standards, including implementing row-level security and access auditing.

·       Support report deployment processes and promote content between environments (DEV/UAT/PROD).

·       Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, and data teams to align reporting platform operations.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

·       5+ years of experience in administering enterprise reporting platforms.

·       Hands-on administration of:

Ø  Power BI Service and Power BI Gateway

Ø  Tableau Server (installations, upgrades, permissions, performance tuning)

Ø  SAP BusinessObjects (CMC, Universe security, scheduling, auditing)

·       Strong understanding of Active Directory, SSO, and integration with IAM tools.

·       Experience with monitoring tools and logs to analyze server performance and errors.

·       Solid knowledge of server backup and disaster recovery strategies for reporting platforms.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid reporting environments.

·       Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.

·       Familiarity with audit compliance and data governance policies.
