Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineers key responsibilities revolve around protecting web applications from threats by designing, implementing, and managing WAF solutions. This includes monitoring security events, analyzing logs, and tuning security policies. They also collaborate with other teams to ensure secure application deployments and stay updated on the latest security trends
 

Competencies: 

Imperva WAF, Firewall Administration – Security Management (IT IS)
 

Essential Skills: 

understanding WAF technologies, web application security, network security, and cloud security
 

Desirable Skills:              

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud security best practices, and understanding of cloud-specific WAF solutions.
Knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems), DNS, DHCP, routing, and IP addressing, especially in cloud environment
