Job Title: Microsoft Power BI Consultant
Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Must Have 11+ Years of Experience.
Job Summary:
· The Technical Lead role is pivotal in driving the success of our data analytics projects. With a focus on Sql server , Snowflake and Power BI, the candidate will design and implement data solutions that enhance decision-making processes. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of data modeling and DAX, ensuring seamless integration and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using Snowflake and Power BI to support business intelligence initiatives. –
· Oversee the development of data models that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of reporting processes. –
· Proven experience with the Power BI platform (administration and development (data modelling, visualization best practices, M,DAX..)
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
· Develop and maintain documentation for data models, ensuring clarity and accessibility for team members.
· Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust validation and testing procedures.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and scalability of data solutions.
· Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
· Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics to drive innovation within the team.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and Power Apps – Nice to Have
· Strong grasp of platform architecture, versioning practices, and governance standards
· Ability to script and automate routine processes (e.g., PowerShell, APIs)
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
· Engage with business users to gather requirements, perform needs assessments, and translate them into technical solutions.
· Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
· Create documentation, technical design specs, and user guides to support solution delivery and adoption.
· Critical thinking and structured problem-solving
· Strong communication and collaboration skills in English
· Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
· Ability to translate business needs into platform features and best practices
Certifications Required : PBI Certification is of great advantage
Very good to Have below Fabric work though not mandatory :
Power BI Architecture & Development
· Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end Power BI architecture, including:
· Data ingestion (via Fabric Pipelines & OneLake) , Semantic model design and optimization , DAX measures and calculations , Report and dashboard creation with UX best practices
· Create and manage enterprise datasets, certified dataflows, and shared workspaces with security and scalability in mind.
Microsoft Fabric Engineering
· Utilize Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including:
· Direct Lake, Lakehouses, and OneLake , Data Pipelines and Notebooks
· Orchestrate robust, automated, and reusable data workflows that support real-time and batch analytics.
Power Automate & Workflow Automation
· Design and deploy Power Automate flows to support:
· Automate manual business processes to improve efficiency and auditability.
