12 or 13 years of experience minimum
Familiar with original, legacy architectures
Migrating everything to AWS
Java, Spring framework, Spring Integration
Have years of experience in AWS development work
Migrating from Spring integration to AWS cloud
Microservices, involving lot of MQ, Webservices to understand existing architecture so they can move it to AWS
AWS Event Bridge (Amazon Event Bridge is a serverless event bus that ingests data from your own apps, SaaS apps, and AWS services and routes that data to targets) architecture –3 years. 
Lambda functions
AWS Acura DB
EKS services is used for packaging and deployment
NICE TO HAVE:  CloudWatch, Xray and Datadog
 

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Senior Backend Developers with a strong background in AWS development and modernization. The role is contract-based and focuses on migrating legacy systems to AWS, utilizing Java and AWS event-driven architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead backend development on AWS modernization projects.
Collaborate with teams to design and migrate applications from legacy architectures to AWS, using Java, Spring, and microservices.
Implement AWS services, including EventBridge, Lambda functions, Acura DB, and EKS for deployment.
Develop and document application programs and ensure compliance with development standards.
Provide technical guidance in team meetings, define system objectives, and assess performance improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications:

12-13+ years of software development experience (10+ for Senior Developer role).
3+ years of AWS development experience, including EventBridge and Lambda.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring framework, and Spring Integration.
Proficiency with AWS cloud services, microservices, and migration of legacy systems.
Experience with WebServices, MQ, and integration architecture for AWS migrations.
Nice-to-Have:

Familiarity with CloudWatch, Xray, and Datadog for monitoring and diagnostics.
Education: Bachelor’s in IT or Computer Science (or 4 years of additional relevant experience).
