Role – Android Engineer
Location – Remote
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will take a lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and optimize features that meet business needs and deliver an exceptional user experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications while adhering to industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Ability to work as part of diverse multi-national team and across multiple time zones.
- 7+ years of experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of released Android applications.
- Proficiency in Kotlin for Android development.
- In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, APIs, and development tools.
- Experience with Android architecture components (e.g., Coroutine, ViewModel, Room, etc.).
- Experience with latest Android frameworks/libraries (e.g. Jetpack, Compose, etc.)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices for mobile applications.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience with hardware and Bluetooth communication (e.g. BluetoothManager) is a plus
- Experience with iOS is a plus
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus
